READING COMPREHENSION DIFFICULTIES IN INDONESIAN EFL STUDENTS

Getting knowledge by reading is one of the prominent ways, and comprehension a skill to help students in learning process. In fact, there are many EFL have some difficulties comprehension. The objective this study analyze students’ skills. Descriptive qualitative method used study, using purposive sampling, 98 Basic Reading Class at English Education Program University Indraprasta PGRI were engaged. data collected administering questionnaires, then it was analyzed find out what kind faced questionnaires administered collecting data, descriptively know students. According results, most difficulty distinguishing between main ideas supporting details, getting idea paragraphs, topic texts from other culture, relating background knowledge, understanding vocabulary inferring text. Based on these findings, strategies should be applied figure barriers
